Happy January!
The funny thing about January is that about this time, it starts to make me feel a little gloomy. The Christmas tree is put away along with all the lovely decorations and I look at the empty spaces where all that Christmas cheer used to be and long for the warmth it brought me. Yeah, I know I live in California and it doesn’t get as cold as the MidWest or East Coast but bear with me here. January is just one of those months where I feel like I gotta go back to ‘life’ or something like that.
Just look at that big beautiful tree! It’s 9ft and took me about 5 years to finally replace our old 6ft tree that was already falling apart. I think we even used tape on some of the branches last year because they were broken -LOL! But we finally got a new one and I love it so much that I wish I could keep it up all year but I don’t want to be ‘that house,’ lol.
On the upside, I have a few vacations planned already. Still planning out the rest of the year as I want to do a lot more travel than before. This is all local USA travel though but there’s so much I want to see here in this corner of the world that I might as well start now. As always, I will keep these little life updates brief and sprinkle them throughout the year sparingly.

What I’m writing now
If you haven’t noticed yet, I’ve been releasing a new story called All for the Remy based on the shady side of the hair industry mixed with a bit of high fantasy because it’s a bit of an adventure story. Since this is being released as a serial, you can navigate to it on this site and follow along with each release which is slated for every Saturday.
Read it here. All for the Remy
I’m obviously still a budding author with a slowly increasing following on here and X, formally known as Twitter. If you like my stories, please share them to others that you think will like them too. Every share helps. I also appreciate the comments because it help me figure out what works, what doesn’t, and what you want to read more of. Also, keep in mind that these stories are slightly edited. This brings me to my next topic.
Eventually, all the stories on here will be released as books. But they will be extensively edited and storylines may change a bit as I close holes, tighten sentences, and fill in the blanks. I am still trying to find an agent to represent me for some of my stories that are complete and have never been shared here, but it’s a long, treacherous road that’s more like an abyss or black hole at times. But hopefully, 2024 is even better than 2023 and I have much more to share with you here.
Until next time!
